2008 Spring-Summer Recreational (Rec) Soccer

U5/6 - Under age 5 and age 6
U7/8 - Under age 7 and age 8

Program Objectives

• Have fun
• Learn basic soccer fundamentals; dribbling, passing shooting, no hands
• Good sportsmanship and develop self-confidence
• There are no tryouts and no players are cut.  All players will be on a team

Schedule (games and practices)

• Fridays and Sundays, May 30 through June 29, with practice and games from 4:30 to 6:00 and 5:30 to 7:00 PM
• First 30 minutes are skills & drills with volunteer coach, with the remaining time available for a game
• All practices and games will be held at Hoover Elementary School in North Mankato.

Game Format

• U5/U6 play 3 vs 3 with no goalie
• U7/U8 play 4 vs 4 with goalie

How to Register

• Registration fee of $40 must accompany registration forms
• Return included pre-printed registration form(make corrections if needed) and payment
• Either mail to address on the form OR attend the Walk-up Registration at Scheels All Sports on March 1 from 10 AM to 4 PM
• Registration closes May 3
• Team notification will be made via e-mail (preferably) or phone

Uniforms

• Rec uniforms consist of a green shirt and a white shirt, black shorts, and black soccer socks
• They can be purchased at Scheels All Sports in the River Hills Mall . 
• Players also need shin guards, athletic shoes or soccer cleats, size 3 ball, and a water bottle
