Getting Started Jon Dickerman is responsible for coach development and can help with some details. Rich Peller is the VP of competitive play. He can also give some guidance on getting ready for the season. The first item on your list should be pulling the team together for a practice. Typically, teams have two practices a week. Important Items Some items are needed from the parents. These items will need to be brought to each game.
1. Birth Certificate
2. Picture
3. Signed Medical
Release form from each child.
4. Player passes, received from the club. You will need to have the kids sign them. You will need to glue the picture on the pass and then laminate the passes. Next punch a hole on the top corner of the laminated pass and put all the passes on a ring. You will give this to the referee at the beginning of each game.
Develop a parent information sheet with names and phone number (example) and an information sheet on how you will manage the team (example) Uniforms
Kids that played in the past will have uniforms. Competitive, Rec Plus and Rec each have different ways of acquiring uniforms. Click your group above for specific information. Paul Gaspar works with uniforms.
Coaches Meeting There is a mandatory coaches meeting for all MYSA coaches prior to season start. We will have one individual from the club attend the meeting and pick up the team packets. Jon Dickerman can assist you with questions concerning this issue. Questions? E-Mail your question to the Mankato Soccer Club Mailbox at mankatosoccer@hotmail.com. Please utilize the e-mail. It allows us to respond to more requests than telephone calls. |
