2007 Fall Competitive (Traveling) Soccer

U9 through U13 (Born between 8/1/94 – 7/31/99)

How to register

  • Registration fee of $100 must accompany registration forms
  • Return included pre-printed form (make corrections if needed) and payment
  • Either mail to address on form OR attend the Walk-up Registration at Scheels All Sports on July 14th from 10 AM to 4 PM
  • Registration closes July 31st

Program: Mankato United Soccer Club (MUSC) participates in fall competitive leagues organized by the Minnesota Youth Soccer Association (MYSA). M offers leagues for players Under 9 through Under 13 (born 8/1/94-7/31/99). The competitive program focuses on individual and team excellence, and provides opportunities for players to learn advanced soccer concepts and skills as well as teamwork, self-discipline, honesty, generosity, and self-confidence. Players must be willing to sacrifice and work together for the good of their team, and accept that they may receive unequal amounts of playing time based on their differing abilities to contribute to team needs.

Schedule: Each team must have at least one volunteer coach. Teams are single-gender and usually practice on weeknights. Games are on weekends from September 8th – October 14th and take place in Mankato and other communities including Bloomington, Eagan, Lakeville, Marshall, New Ulm, Rochester, and Winona. An end of the season tournament is held in Rochester October 20th -21st. Travel is an integral part of the competitive experience. Before registering, please consider carefully your commitment to this aspect of the program!

Uniform/Equipment: Required equipment includes MUSC uniform, which includes one white and one green jersey (with number printed on back), shorts, and stockings which are available for purchase at Scheels All Sports, shin guards, and soccer shoes. Recommended equipment includes water bottle and size 4 ball for U9-U12 or size 5 ball for U13. Once purchased uniform jerseys need to be taken to B-Stark for printing (numbers are assigned by MUSC). Rec Plus players moving to competitive may use their current Rec plus jerseys but must have a number printed on them at B-Stark.
